Advanced Open Water Diver Course

Have you completed the Open Water Diver course and want to improve your diving skills?

Then this course is just right for you. You can gain a lot of experience in an environment controlled by your instructor. For you that means diving with a safety net.

Procedure for the Advanced Open Water Diver Course

This course is different. The idea behind this course is to gain experience in special situations with your instructor by your side. Therefore this course consists of 5 different adventure dives.

What is an Adventure Dive? An Adventure Dive is the first dive in a Specialty course. Here you have 2 requirements and can choose 3 adventure dives.

Mandatory:

  • Dive deep
  • Navigation

Selection:

  • Drift diving
  • Boat diving
  • Buoyancy
  • Nitrox
  • Night diving
  • Wreck diving

At this point we would like to recommend the topics drift diving, buoyancy and nitrox (as a whole course). With these topics you will have a solid foundation and will be able to handle most diving situations well.

Here, too, you can prepare the theory comfortably at home. We will then discuss the dive theory here in Playa del Carmen and discuss the dive very intensively and in detail. During the dive, the corresponding exercises are waiting for you. Usually the exercises only take up a small part of the dive so that you can still see and experience a lot.

After the 5 adventure dives and the discussion of the respective diving theory, you are an Advanced Open Water Diver.

What's next ???

As soon as you realize that you are no longer busy with yourself while diving, you can take the next step. The Rescue Diver course!

As a rescue diver you observe a lot and try to avoid problems before they arise. Of course, this only works if your focus is no longer on yourself and many steps take place automatically.

TIP:

You don’t feel like studying while on vacation and would rather go to the beach? No problem … you can do the theory for your diving course online in advance at home. Write to us and ask for your online course material.
